Papyrus is pleased to announce that the International Patent Application relating to its technology for the production of banana fibre and pulp to produce moulded fibre products has been published by the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
In many countries publication of the application commences rights that the applicant might not otherwise have until a patent is granted on the invention in the respective country. Those rights may provide that unauthorised manufacture, sale or use of the invention after the publication date in a country by other parties will constitute infringement of the patent when granted in that country.
This patent publication is an important step in the company acquiring broad-ranging international patent protection for this state-of-the-art zero waste process.
Papyrus is pleased to have passed this important milestone in the protection of its technology as it progresses commercialisation.
