The Egypt project is to expand to a full processing facility with capacity to process 180k tonnes of banana plantation waste annually. The project offers significant benefits:

1. Reduced ghg emissions as 1kg of banana waste emits approx. 0.5 kg of CO2 in methane.

2. Create jobs.

3. Reduce plastics and wood sourced packaging.

4. Generate economic benefits from sales of products.

5. Reduce chemical use in manufacturing – Papyrus processes banana fibre without chemicals.

6. Generate an income stream for associated small business.

7. Reduce problematic banana plantation waste.
